Ideas: Early on I started to use hashtags as a way of organizing my own pictures and #pavementarrangement has proven to be my single most frequent hashtag. Maybe it’s from riding a bike or maybe it’s just from walking the entertaining streets of New York City, I am speaking about the actual streets, the pavement, but I’ve always been a streetwatcher. One thing I like about working with the surface of the earth, pavement etc, is that everything is subject to chance and nothing, literally nothing, involves me other than taking a picture of what I see. I don’t move anything, I don’t touch anything...it’s all composed of nothing, every picture, everything in #pavementarrangement, they’re all nothing, they’re all just otherwise unnoted moments passing by and out in the world they are all nothing, not even forgotten, but here, within this world, they are everything, they are basically the whole world, literally almost the entire surface of every picture. In the larger world they were nothing but in this world they are everything so this is a place where nothing is everything and (I really mean this,) everything, everything else, is nothing.
